A partner with the firm, John Turner Holt has practiced law for more than 47 years and joined Alexander & Vann Law Firm in 1974. John's father, retired Thomasville attorney Frank T. Holt, III joined T. Heyward Vann, Tom K. Vann, Jr. and Roy M. Lilly at the firm, then Alexander, Vann & Lilly, in 1960 and practiced at the firm until 1988.

John maintains a general practice with particular expertise in the areas of creditor's rights in bankruptcy, civil litigation, real estate—including foreclosures and conformations of sale, representation of financial institutions, and family law.

John earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Georgia. He was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1974.
